KELLOGG’S SPECIAL K TEAMS UP WITH CHIME FOR CHANGE AND ELLIE GOULDING TO BRING COLOUR BACK TO WOMEN’S LIVES
Musician Ellie Goulding will perform at an exclusive event in London to help raise awareness for girls’ and women’s empowerment. Special K and global campaign CHIME FOR CHANGE*, who have joined forces for a second year running, will host the performance as they look to shine a light on issues women and girls around the world face on a daily basis.
Without access to Education, Health and Justice, many women around the world cannot live in colour. Kellogg’s Special K and CHIME FOR CHANGE are bringing colour back to girls’ and women’s lives by working with non-profit partners in 18 countries to provide vital support and training. As well as performing an acoustic set at the exclusive event, Ellie Goulding will share details of her work with the Streets of London Charity and CHIME FOR CHANGE.
“Women around the world are powerful, talented and full of potential,” said Ellie Goulding. “By working together to ‘Bring Colour Back’ to those who have been denied Education, Health and Justice I believe we can make great strides toward equality.”
Peter Soer, VP at Kellogg’s Europe, explained: “Through this partnership with CHIME FOR CHANGE we have already supported 23 projects in 18 countries, helping more than 20,000 girls and women to get access to Education, Health and Justice. From today we’re encouraging everyone to show their support by uploading a black and white selfie with the hashtag #BringColourBack. We’re delighted that Ellie will post her own black-and-white selfie on stage at the performance. “

About Streets of London
Streets of London raises money to fund some of the amazing projects that offer advice and support to homeless people in the capital. There are many small homelessness charities in London that do excellent work, but which often struggle for funding because they lack the profile and fund-raising capacity of the larger, better-known charities.
Their work is made more difficult by recent funding cuts, coupled with a dramatic increase in the number of people sleeping rough in London (a 77% increase since 2010), meaning there are many more people homeless, but fewer specialist support workers available to help them. At Streets of London we use our knowledge and experience of the sector to identify projects where we believe the funding will make a real difference and have a significant positive impact on the lives of homeless people in London.
